Call For Papers:

Performance in Clusters: Measurement, Analysis and Achievement (PCMAA)

PCMAA is a session organized on the 7th World Multi Conference on Systemics, Cybernetics And Informatics (SCI 2003).

July 27 - 30, 2003.

Orlando, Florida, USA

Sheraton World

http://www.iiisci.org/sci2003/

PCMAA focuses on performance measurement, analysis and achievement in cluster computing. All kind of clusters, commodity/beowulf, high performance and large Internet/Grid oriented clusters, are of interest. Each cluster category matches some application requirement and need particular investigation about how to achieve the best performance. Among factors that can influence cluster performance there are broadband networks, network protocols, message passing systems, fitting algorithms, parallel and distributed programming techniques, parallel I/O techniques, management tools, performance measurement tools and many others. We would like to encourage participation of both researchers and practitioners working on these problems.

Topics of interest are:

  • Impact of networks and network protocols on cluster performance
  • High-performance I/O design for cluster computing
  • Impact of cluster management tools on cluster performance
  • Performance instrumentation on clusters
  • Application benchmark test on clusters

A panel will end this session, talking about efficient cluster design, programming and management.
